I booked the 2bhk on the ground floor and was happy to see everything was as per the photos. It was a spacious property, well maintained, with a private gate and entrance. Tushar was a good host and quick to respond to my querries.

The place is huge and well maintained. Location is top notch with availability of metro and other public transport. Lots of local places to eat, market to shop.
The bedrooms, halls and dining area were kept neat and tidy. The hall is huge with good seating and TV. The Tv kept disconnecting so we couldn’t watch anything. The kitchen was messy, lacked basic utensils and we also found wooden spatula covered in fungus. Kitchen utensils were also dirty, non stick pans were scratched. Basic cutlery was missing with only 4 plates and no bowl etcs. We did ask for a utensil to cook rice as there was none which was provided along with 1 bowl. Overall kitchen and dining wasnt up to the mark at all. Coming to the washrooms - they are kept neat and tidy however one of the washroom was having a wet smell, which was spreading in the bedroom too. We had to spray perfumes to overcome it.
Overall the stay was okay, if you are not into cooking your own meal then there shouldn’t be any trouble.
The location is one of the few positives of this property. Situated in Tollygunge, it is easy to find and conveniently located. However, our overall experience was disappointing. While the property itself was decent, the host's attitude and body language were not welcoming and often came across as arrogant, which affected our stay. The dressing room had an unpleasant smell, and we even noticed a mouse moving around the house. There was a power cut for nearly two hours, but there was no inverter backup. When we enquired about it, the host responded that power cuts rarely occur in the area, which did not help the situation. The Wi-Fi could not be connected to the TV, so we were unable to watch IPL matches. Guests should also note that visitors are not allowed, and the rules are very strict. The stay felt more like a hostel, with the gate closing at 11 PM and limited flexibility for guests and deliveries. Good location, but poor hospitality, maintenance issues, and restrictive rules

I had made this booking not only to stay, but also to conduct my entire marriage ritual, since it was a bengali marriage there were a lot of guests coming and going sometimes staying back in the afternoon, the rooms are huge with huge dining space exactly like in the pictures, I had on an avg 10 to 15 guests everyday, plus some customary rituals like haldi, pooja, photoshoot etc. obviously there was noise, he let us do all of that in the lawn for free, usually he would charge for that. Upon my arrival I also requested for an oven to cook, (gas though I aranged) that also he happily arranged it for me, it was a breeze, the helper dada is also very responsive and helpful. You can use this place like your own, no hassle no complain, the location is prestine the neighbourhood is quite. Its right infront of the metro station. With all the necessary shops and amenities. I would definitely book it again the next time I visit Kolkata.
We stayed there for two nights. The stay was very well organised. I am very happy as i was able to take care of my 8month old daughter as it felt like i was at home. I would again revisit the same bnb when i come to kolkata again. Mr Tushar is a very good host. Thanks Tushar for hosting us. Apart from this his caretaker Mr Das was very welcoming. Last but not the least the property has three additional persons - 2 Rottys and one German shepherd, very friendly pets. I will again revisit the property if given a chance in the near future. Cheers
The place is lovely and luxurious. Great for a small family. The kitchen has enough cutlery and utensils along with working appliances. What I loved the most was the garden upfront where we can sit and enjoy a cup of tea. Great experience!

Our stay at Handpicked Aashiyana was absolutely wonderful! We stayed in the Diamond Suite, a massive 1,800 sq. ft. 2BHK on the ground floor. The house perfectly blends a 'classic haveli' charm with top-tier modern amenities, including large LED TVs, contemporary bathrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen.
The property is spacious and refreshing, featuring a lovely green patch by the entrance and ample space for walking and secure car parking. The location is a huge plus—situated very close to the Metro Station and local markets, making everything we needed easily accessible.
The true highlight, however, was the incredible hospitality of our host, Mr. Tushar. He went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, even welcoming us into his own home while our suite was being prepared. His heartwarming gestures and great conversations made us feel like family. A great stay a very affordable price. Clean and spacious bedrooms with attached toilets. The kitchen and utensils were clean. The drawing and dining space was a perfect adda zone for a group of 5-6 people. Altogether it was a nice stay.
It was a great stay, great staff they even got a garden for a great tea time and evening convos, it was clean the people out there were great and helpful, a great and a memorable stay all together with a good vibe.
Place not up to standard in terms of cleanliness - bathroom dirty, kitchen unusable due to state of plates and utensils. However, location is good. Private and away from road so minimal noise. Secure, but not ideal if you're thinking of staying out late beyond midnight. Tushar can be friendly when he wants to be. He was not initially receptive to our local friends who were staying with us. But altogether, a great place in a good, safe location.

大きなダイニングスペースもあり、二つある部屋も壁隣りではない（しかも二部屋共にバスルームが備わっている）ので家族以外に友だちと一緒に借りるのもありだと思います。どの部屋も手入れが行き届いていましたが、特にバスルームが清潔で嬉しかったです。トイレの水流が弱いというレビューをみて心配していましたが、そんなことはなく全く大丈夫でした。

First of all, we as a family had a great stay and really liked everything what was offered. This place is a gem because of the location which is near to the Metro station and local market. Most of the happening places in South Kolkata are nearby, thanks to the Metro. The place was so cool that I will surely visit again if I visit Kolkata with my family.
Tushar is a great host and also very friendly. He will share local recommendations, help whenever needed and very flexible to offer any additional help or amenity. Bharat, the caretaker was also very nice. There were 3 dogs who were so friendly and lovable. The garden was cool to have a drink or a cup of coffee as well.
The place was exactly as described and squeaky clean. The entire place is so nice and you will not feel bored even if you stay in the listing just to rest.
Highly recommended to all the guests. I wish Tushar all the very best and happy hosting for the future.

Hi I had booked a reservation on the 5th of February via air bnb which is my go to website with all my reservations but I was saddened by the experience I faced I was checking in, to the property informing the host I’ll be late as the flight landed late and I didn’t eat dinner so we stopped at a near by hotel to eat With my sister and his husband And me being with my partner while checking in The staff of the property was acting very rude as they asked us to fill up information in their diary standing with all our luggage on our hand Hence we didn’t argue or speak ill with the staff we called the host to inform we were not welcomed properly He came down and he just pounced on us with his loud voice and misbehaviour He even chose to abuse my sister and told us to leave his property We didn’t use any kind of foul language or any misbehaviour My sister just asked him to talk with respect and not yell and he went forward to charge her with aggression This is high risk of women security.
The host is a eccentric man,has ego issues , didn’t feel safe at all , left his Rottweiler dogs unleashed in morning and said you all can order from here only i have breakfast menu, later you all can go out ,just stayed for a night as it was very late in night i could not go another place with luggage’s after 10hr road trip ,my daughter did the checkin ; was writing all names in his register as said by caretaker but the host came later and started yelling “ you can see numbering then why are you writing all names in one serial , keep your phone (she was talking to me only)also insulted my family friends aged 50&53yrs enquiring are you here to party?made derogatorycomments ,I wrote my full address in his register, he insisted its not enough even though i have the same address in aadhar card,I showed him then he mumbled something,only when my daughter had enough & shouted back saying you can check with police verification the address will match,he finally left us alone.AVOID this place !

Booked this space for attending a friend's marriage. The place is huge and aesthetically designed. Mr. Tushar Das was always trying to help and he was accommodative.
The caretaker (Mr.Bharat) was very good as well.
The place is good if you are travelling with friends or family. It has everything one might need. Quite exceptional at this price!

I read so many amazing reviews before I booked this place… and my Experience was just as incredible .. it is unbelievable how a host makes all possible effort for you to have everything at ease! The place is gorgeous and has a touch of nostalgia to it…with beautiful dogs that are playful, support staff very cooperative and if you order food from their kitchen handled by Ipshita….. it’s at par with any high end restaurant you will try authentic dishes in! My friends and myself just got along Tushar ji so well that we also had a nice dinner session and conversations around food , Kolkata, politics, books, cinema… everything a bong is known for .. happened:) if you in Kolkata … Tushar and Ipshita are the hosts you should look for! This was one of the best AirBnB's I stayed in India over last 10 years. The place is a big flat on the ground floor of the house building where Tushar Das stays. It has a lot of open space. most importantly the rooms are really big, both the bedrooms , living room and dining room. Squeaky clean bathrooms make it really great. It is very tastefully decorated, no clutter. What was icing on the cake is the food they offered-I wanted to eat typical Bengali food with fish and they treated our local friend (who came to meet us)and us with the best. Since we stayed there only for an evening and the night we could not explore the area more. But the host and his house was simply the best.

I came all the way from Germany with my wife and parents and I couldn't believe that it felt really like at home. Tushar is a wonderful person to chat with. I had a lovely time at Tushar's space. It was way more homely & peaceful than I anticipated. Our host, Tushar was super communicative, and responsive & kindly accommodated me & my friends through check-ins & check-outs - even at odd hours.
The property is bigger & more cozy than it looks in the photos, I was thoroughly impressed by how clean, peaceful & seamless my experience was. It was a delight staying at his bungalow, especially meeting his dogs! Some of my friends were afraid of them, however, the host & his team were considerate of the same & ensured a welcoming experience for us.

We were two families staying at this extremely well decorated & well maintained bungalow. Mr.Tushar also manage 2 extra accommodation for our friends. MrTushar is very Gentle,Polite, Negotiable & Cheerful person.His staffs also are very Helpful & Responsive.Communication & daily needs are in walkable distance. It was a worthy expenditure for us. He & his property deserve 5 Star rating and he is a Super Duper Host.

Tushar's place 'Ashiyana' is exactly as it is depicted in the photos and maybe more. The place is extremely well-maintained in terms of aesthetics, decor, comfort, cleanliness, hygiene and at-home vibes and easily matches Western standards. We (a group of friends) stayed for a night. It is a fantastic place to stay! Secluded downstairs with super clean and beautiful interiors. Everything was so decoratively perfect and taken care of that we felt at home. Check-in was pretty simple. Mr. Tushar Kanti is a wonderful host! The house was well maintained, loaded with all types of amenities required for comfortable stay and well decorated with beautiful stuffs justifying its name “Handpicked Aashiyana.” The rooms were spacious, bathrooms were neat & clean & kitchen was fully equipped. Also need to mention about the spacious & green lawn in front of the house. The host Mr. Tushar tried to make every possible effort to make our stay comfortable and made us feel like home. Best place and host you can ever get. Booked for 2 days ended up staying for 7 days and still didn't want to leave. Tushar Sir is the most hospitable person I have come across and he has maintained the property like his baby.
My 5 year old kid really enjoyed playing with Tushar Sir's kid and 3 adorable dogs.
We would definitely recommend it to everyone and I am sure to come back again.

I have travelled many places n resided in Airbnb n 5 starts hotel but this place has to go be reviewed... drive I never expect such a service from Airbnb. Trust me and ho in the property you will know it. I'm sure you will extent the stay. don't be worried looking at the picture. everything is perfect the interior the furniture... Bed n pillows I have a bit concern but other then that can't point even a single thing. The washroom are very clean. I rate it full and deserve more recognition for this Airbnb .
